And just like that, our vacation is over. It’s already our last day at my mom’s. Tomorrow we’ll say goodbye to everyone here in Michigan and begin the long drive back to Florida. We hate this part, the packing up and leaving part.
But really, we don’t have many reasons to be sad. Our trip’s been just about perfect—we’ve had a full week and a half of sunshine and family time. And now we’re heading home to the little brown house we love in Ocala, where friends and more family wait. It’s a good life God’s given us, so we choose to focus on what we have and be thankful. Thankful for new memories here at my mom’s, for what we have at home, and for plans to come back and see everyone again soon.
